MDR purchases state broadcasting centre in Magdeburg from Commerz Real fund
The public broadcaster Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk (MDR) is purchasing the broadcasting centre in Magdeburg from the Commerz Real closed-end real estate fund CFB 121. Thus the public broadcasting company, which has leased the property with a net floor area of more than 15,000 square metres since 1998, is utilising its right to acquire the property after 20 years. It was
agreed that confidentiality be maintained on the purchase price.
For our investors the sale is the successful conclusion to an investment that has developed in line with the prognoses.

CFB fund 121 has a volume of approx. 61.4 million euros, thereof approx. 31.5 million euros in equity capital, and was issued in 1998 as a classical leasing
fund. It will be wound up after the sale.
