Effective 1 May 2024, Michael Henn will take over the position of Global Head of Green Deal Infrastructure at Commerz Real AG. In future, Henn will be responsible for the transaction and acquisition business, project development and asset management in the area of renewable energies and infrastructure investments.
Michael Henn is an experienced leader with extensive transaction and project development skills. Under his leadership, we will continue to drive the expansion of our renewables business. In addition to transaction and asset management, the activities will focus on the implementation of the project development strategy in the area of renewables and the further integration of renewable energies with sustainable real estate projects.
Michael Henn has extensive experience in the investment industry and has been leading specialised transaction and project development teams for many years. Prior to joining Commerz Real, the 47-year-old worked as Head of Transactions and Commercial Board member at Gerchgroup AG and was CEO of Immobel Germany GmbH. Henn holds a degree in banking and business administration (FH) and studied sustainable real estate project development at the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel (EBS). He succeeds Yves-Maurice Radwan, who leaves the company at his own request.
Commerz Real AG is the asset manager of the Commerzbank Group and has 50 years of international market experience. The company combines extensive know-how in asset management with broad structuring expertise and uses this expertise to develop tangible asset-oriented fund products and individual investment solutions in the real estate and infrastructure sectors. As a leasing service provider of Commerzbank, Commerz Real Mobilienleasing also offers needs-based leasing concepts.
Since 2025, the Commerzbank Group’s asset management holdings have been bundled with Commerz Real AG. In addition to Commerz Real’s brands and products, these include the Aquila Capital investment company with a focus on sustainable tangible asset investments in the area of energy infrastructure and Yellowfin as a boutique for liquid investment strategies. Under the umbrella of Commerz Real AG, a total of around 1,000 employees manage assets of around EUR 55 billion at around 20 locations.
