Ulrich Oppermann to step up international mandate business at Commerz Real
Ulrich Oppermann (53) has assumed the management of the newly-created Advisory, Mandates & International Distribution division at Commerz Real. He will be reporting directly to Johannes Anschott, the Commerz Real board member responsible for institutional business. Oppermann is to further develop business with international institutional investors, and in particular in the framework of individual mandates. A business administration graduate with more than 25 years’ experience in the real estate and financial sectors, he had been Head of Transaction Austria & Germany at CBRE Global Investors since 2012. Prior to this he had held a number of senior management positions at UBS Global Asset Management and Allianz Real Estate.
We have seen that thanks to our track record with global transactions we are also able to assist international institutional investors in the acquisition of attractive properties.
Johannes Anschott, Commerz Real board member
Above all Commerz Real has registered growth in demand for professionally structured investment products in Europe from the Middle East and Asia. “With his extensive expertise and his far-reaching network Ulrich Oppermann will play a significant role in advancing our business,” adds Anschott.
The first transaction has already been concluded by the new business division in Warsaw: through its Luxembourg-based company CR Fund Management S.à r.l. Commerz Real has just acquired two buildings there which are part of the “Lixa” office complex currently under construction on Kasprzaka Street on behalf of the South Korean investor Hana Financial Investment Co. Ltd.
