Commerz Real sells Marriott hotel at Paris airport to AEW

Commerz Real has sold Marriott Charles de Gaulle Airport Hotel close to the Paris airport to international asset manager AEW. The real assets subsidiary of Commerzbank had acquired the property upon its completion in 2002 in the framework of a sale-and-lease back agreement for its open-ended real estate fund Hausinvest. Initially opened as a courtyard, as early as 2007 it was rebranded and upgraded as a 4-star Marriott Hotel. The building, which is situated on a plot of land totalizing approx.  

17,000 square metres of lettable area, has 300 rooms, a generously-proportioned lobby with an integrated bar, a restaurant, and nearly 2,500 square metres of conference space with a ballroom measuring approx. 550 square metres, a fitness area, as well as 133 underground car parking spaces, 131 additional outdoor car parking spaces and 3 parking spaces for coaches.
