Commerz Real appoints Siegfried Eschen as board member

Commerz Real has appointed Siegfried Eschen as a member of its board of management. Subject to approval by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) he will exercise this mandate from 1 June 2021 onwards. The 53-year-old real estate economist is joining the company from Commerzbank, where he has developed and headed the Real Estate competence centre within the Corporate Clients segment since 2015; this now has a portfolio of existing properties worth approx. five billion euros.

Siegfried Eschen has spent more than 25 years working in a number of management positions in the real estate financing sector. Before his time in the Corporate Clients segment he worked at Hypothekenbank Frankfurt AG, formerly Eurohypo AG, ultimately as Divisional Head Central Germany / International Key Accounts. In the Berlin regional branch of Commerzbank Siegfried Eschen was responsible as departmental head for consortium business with key accounts. The trained banker embarked on his professional career as a credit analyst at Landesbank Rhineland-Palatinate in Mainz.
