Commerz Real appoints Christian Horf as board member
Commerz Real has appointed Christian Horf (43), to date Head of Finance, as a member of the company’s Board of Management as of 1 August. In addition to Finance, he will hold responsibility for the Legal, Auditing and Marketing departments in this position. “I am very pleased that the highly experienced financial expert Christian Horf will be augmenting the Board of Management with his in-depth knowledge of the company,” says Manfred Knof, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Commerz Real. Alongside CEO Henning Koch and Christian Horf, the Board of Management’s members are the real assets specialist Dirk Schuster and Siegfried Eschen, who recently joined the company from Commerzbank.

Christian Horf has been at Commerz Real since 2015, currently with responsibility for all financial topics as general manager. He has already been with the Commerzbank group of companies since 2005. He embarked on his career in the group, initially in Group Development, moving as divisional head to the Finance department in 2009. After completing his studies as an economist at the University of Mannheim, Christian Horf was also employed at the auditing company Ernst & Young from 2003 to 2005. “In particular I would like to press ahead with the automation and digitalisation of our processes so as to accelerate our growth through greater scalability of our business model,” is how Horf describes his objectives.
